NFT’s are the racecar of the crypto universe. They can be fast, quick ways to make gainz. They can also be dangerous — way out on the risk curve — and if there’s no market, no real buyer to sell to, you can be stuck holding the bags. Yin and yang. Duality. No risk it, no biscuit.
Back in October of 2021, when the Winston Goodfellow team dropped their first edition Retro Rides, the world was a simpler place. Putin hadn’t invaded Ukraine, inflation was still under 7% and the mint price on this pack was a mere $20.
With one of the more skewed, bottom-heavy rarity systems — these packs contained nearly 75% common cards and a 5% chance of a epic/legendary/mythic car cards.
Regardless of the breakdown, the Drop was a quiet success and the cards have maintained their value reasonably well. Currently though, liquidity doesn’t seem to flow into this project. And with good reason — because as it stands today — there is virtually no map of where this project is headed. Another series is on the way. But what good is more inventory on a project without a road map? We expect to see more details emerge before the next drop.
Theta.tv Ambassador JoeyTV is spearheading the project. Rumor has it, that plans are in the works to create a P2E crypto game — with NFT integration. From what we’re hearing, they’ve already partnered with a game developer to produce a racing simulation game. For mobile? Should be, not sure.
It’s one of the more hidden crypto gaming projects on ThetaDrop. Similar to HGH’s Battle Pugs — the team at Winston Goodfellow have chosen to maintain a sense of mystery. This one could be good long-term. More to come.
